PROJECT SUMMARY

Giving a Voice to the Gig Worker Movement

Gig Workers Rising emerged during a pivotal moment in the evolution of app-based labor. As drivers and delivery workers organized around issues of wages, benefits, and workplace protections, the movement needed a visual identity capable of uniting thousands of workers under a shared banner.

Working alongside organizers and advocacy leaders, I helped create a brand system that translated the movement's values into a recognizable public presence. The identity was designed to communicate optimism, solidarity, and upward mobility while remaining flexible enough to support everything from grassroots organizing efforts to national media campaigns.

A key objective was scalability. The system needed to function across signs, social graphics, campaign materials, presentations, merchandise, and event activations without losing consistency or impact. By establishing a clear visual language and adaptable asset library, the brand enabled rapid communication while strengthening recognition across audiences.

The result was a durable identity that helped transform a growing advocacy effort into a nationally recognized movement, providing a platform for storytelling, organizing, and collective action in the fight for gig worker rights.
